Sheriff searching for 18-year-old charged with Hoke County murder

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office said it was investigating the murder at Piney Bay Mobile Home Park in the 100 block of Piney Bay Lane. Officers who responded to the scene found 38-year-old Johnathan Alex Nipper, who was shot to death.

Officials said Nipper was shot multiple times.

Authorities charged Delton D'wayne Graham Jr., 18, with first-degree murder. Nyrek Shamaud Moore, 18, of Raeford, drove Graham away from the scene, according to the sheriff's office, and he was charged with accessory after the fact of first-degree murder.

Moore was taken into custody and jailed under a $500,000 secured bond, but Graham fled before deputies arrived.
