RALEIGH, N.C. — The holidays are here, and there are lots of events to keep you entertained during the work week.

Monday

Done with your shopping? Shop Late Til' 8 is a special holiday shopping event at Cameron Village that will continue through Christmas Eve. All this week, shops and restaurants will be open late for last-minute shoppers, and there will even be a chance to score some holiday gifts and fun prizes.
Langston Hughes' Black Nativity Project returns to the Tally Student Center at N.C. State tonight at 7 p.m. Guests love this multicultural Christmas show.
See rapper and songwriter Lil Uzi Vert at The Ritz in Raleigh at 8 p.m.
It's a good time to eat at Abbey Road in Cary today, because, as part of Food & Football for Love, 10 percent of sales will be donated to InterAct, a private, non-profit agency that provides safety, support and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and assault.
Get in the holiday spirit by ice skating in downtown Raleigh at the Ice Raleigh Outdoor Skating Rink. It's only $10.

Tuesday

Which is your favorite? The Trans-Siberian Orchestra was in Raleigh last week -- this week, Mannheim Steamroller comes to town! See them at DPAC at 7:30 p.m.
The Nutcracker, Carolina Ballet 2014
Another holiday tradition is Carolina Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker. See it at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m.
Bundle up and take a stroll through a beautiful maze of LED illuminated sculptures at the Chinese Lantern Festival at Booth Amphitheatre.
The event, featuring nearly two dozen displays, is at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary runs through Jan. 15.
We love Open Mic Night at Deep South. Stop by this Tuesday tradition to support local artists.
If trivia is more your style, Pinhook in Durham hosts a weekly Trivia Night tonight at 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday

The Holiday Market at The Carter Building features art, jewelry, cosmetics, vinyl records, vintage clothing and more. The event runs 4-7 p.m. Wednesdays through Dec. 31.
Local vendors of clothing, jewelry, crafts and foods offered a shopping component at Destination Dix
The Triangle Brass Band will present Holiday Stories, a show incorporating a selection of popular holiday music and storytelling, tonight. It starts at 7 p.m. at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $10 for adults.

Thursday

The BIGG Holiday Mash-up is a family-friendly variety show featuring storytelling, music, dance, comedy and inspiration at the Carolina Theatre of Durham. Tickets start at $8.

Ivy Stone will perform with Suspicious Figure, Sticks & Bricks and Rosa Lee at Deep South at 8:30 p.m. The cover is $5.

Friday

Catch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
Try a romantic Horse Drawn Carriage Ride between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. today at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. Reservations are required.
Before the stockings are hung by the chimney with care, join the Symphony for an evening of classical music written in sacred celebration and uplifted by the voices of the Raleigh Children's Christmas Chorus.
After the reindeer leave the stage, the North Carolina Symphony will present A Candlelight Christmas, an evening of classical music written uplifted by the voices of the Raleigh Children's Christmas Chorus. It's the perfect show for the night before Christmas Eve.
Stanley Baird, a smooth jazz artist, will perform at 7 p.m. at Beyu Cafe in Durham.
