17 Triangle events to check out this week

RALEIGH, N.C. — Our fun picks will help you get through the work week.

Band of Skulls, an English rock band, will play at Motorco in Durham at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22.

Nada Surf will play at Cat's Cradle at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $17.

Disturbed, a heavy metal band from Chicago, will play at Red Hat at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $30.

All ages are invited to Neptune's in Raleigh at 10 p.m. for a DJ-led dance party featuring Nick Hook. Tickets are $10.

Stop by the NCMA to see its newest exhibit, Rolling Sculptures: Art Deco Cars from the 1930s and 40s. The exhibit is open until 5 p.m. on weekdays and later on the weekends.

moe., an American jam band, will play at Raleigh's Lincoln Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30.

The Foraged, Fermented and Fabulous Dinner on the patio at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club starts at 6:45 p.m. For $65, guests will enjoy seasonal beer from Fullsteam Brewery and an exquisite multi-course dinner. Attendees will also hear Fullsteam executives discuss the foraging process in their beer production.

Want to try something new? Dance and visual art team Zoe Scofield and Juniper Shuey will perform at UNC's Memorial Hall at 7:30 p.m. The duo attempts to mythologize the senses, enveloping audiences in physical and fantastical realms in a performance that includes dance, photography, sculptural video and performance installation. The show will repeat on Thursday.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for Casktoberfest, the state's largest cask ale event. The fun takes place at Big Boss Brewing Company, which boasts a beer hall and the largest selection of casks at any one place. There is no cover to attend, just pay as you go for the beers you'd like.

See Ira David Wood III's adaption of Dracula at Raleigh's Theatre in the Park. The show premieres tonight at 7:30 but will continue all weekend. Tickets are $24.

Enjoy sips and light bites while you check out the latest fall fashion trends at Walk: The Runway Series at North Hills. A fashion show will take place at the Dalek Exhibit located next to Ruth's Chris Steak House at 7 p.m., and a portion of proceeds from the event will go towards The Food Drive Kid, a non-profit to support Backpack Buddies.

A music lovers' paradise, Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival is a family-friendly celebration of music, dance, art and education at Shakori Hills Farm in Chatham County. The four-day festival starts today, featuring four stages and over 60 bands.

Anthony Hamilton will perform at DPAC at 7:30 p.m. with special guests Lalah Hathaway and Eric Benet. Fans can expect to hear all of their hits plus new music from each artist.

The final show in North Hills' Friday Night Tributes Series starts tonight at 7 p.m. in Midtown Park. The music continues until 9:30 at this free event.

As part of his We Don't Talk Tour, see Charlie Puth at The Ritz in Raleigh at 7:30 p.m.

Chance the Rapper will perform at Red Hat at 8 p.m.

Stop by Bottle Revolution in Morrisville for a party featuring beer, pizza, giveaways from Google Fiber and more. The event, which is free and open to the public, will wrap up the series of week-long festivities.
