RALEIGH, N.C. — If you want to get out of the house, there is plenty to do in the Triangle before, during and after Thanksgiving!

Monday

Walk the Moon - The American rock band will play The Ritz at 8 p.m.
Walk The Moon
Pups on the Patio - Every Monday, Raleigh Brewing Company welcomes dogs for treats.
Elton John Flash Chorus - Sing along with a family-friendly crowd at Motorco Music Hall in Durham. Tickets are $7.

Tuesday

Open Mic at Goodnight's - 20+ comedians will perform at this hilarious, laid-back event.
Tuesday Night Trivia - Pinhook in Durham hosts a trivia night at 8:30 p.m.
Triangle Youth Orchestra and Symphony Fall Concert - It's two family-friendly concerts for the price of one. The Triangle Youth Orchestra will perform holiday classics at 7 p.m. at 7:00 followed by the Triangle Youth Symphony at 8 p.m.

Wednesday

Drinksgiving - The Mason Jar in Fuquay-Varina will feature $4 pints, the Spanglish food truck and live music tonight.
Carolina Ballet: Handel's Messiah - Shows start tonight at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Annual Thanksgiving Eve Party - To kick off Thanksgiving, Doherty's Irish Pub in Cary and Apex will both feature a party with live music, a DJ and a light show until 1 a.m.

Thursday

Plates for the World Charity Dinner - Enjoy a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner available as take-out or served at Plates from noon to 5 p.m. $20 from each meal sold will be donated to Rise Against Hunger to support their mission to end world hunger by the year 2030.
Ridgewood Turkey Trot - The event at the Ridgewood Shopping Center (intersection of Wade Ave. and Faircloth in Raleigh) includes an 8K race plus a 100-yard kids' dash. Participation helps fight Multiple Sclerosis.

Festival of Lights - Hill Ridge Farm's annual holiday show kicks off tonight. After dinner, welcome the Christmas season with a hayride through a magical winter wonderland of beautiful Christmas lights and displays all presented with your favorite holiday songs that the entire family will enjoy. There will be bonfires, smore's, cider, homemade donuts and more! The show runs nightly through Dec. 31.

Christmas Carousel Holiday Gift Market - Come to the N.C. State Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. for the Triangle’s largest marketplace for arts, crafts and seasonal favorites. The three-day shopping event is open all day.
Hip Hop Nutcracker - The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns to DPAC tonight for two shows. The holiday mash-up is a contemporary re-imagination of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music.
