Roseboro, N.C. — A 15-year-old was hospitalized Saturday night after he was injured during a hit-and-run in Roseboro.
Traveon Thompkins was hit at about 9 p.m. while walking on East Pleasant Street, according to April Thompson, Thompkins' aunt.
The teenager was transported to UNC Hospitals, where he has loss of hearing, a broken bone in his left ear and a fractured skull, Thompson said.
"(There) was bleeding in the brain but that has stopped thankfully," she said.
