veritas_one - one more person blaming everything that went wrong in their life on a substance instead of facing the reality that it was indeed themselves.

    You're probably still that way.

Cigarette smokers have the "legal" right to smoke all they want, yet the effects they bring on society as a whole are far reaching. Agreed?

What they do to their own bodies is NOT limited in effecting JUST them, Phillip.

That may or may not be true, but it's totally irrelevant to the point that NOTHING gives the State any authority to regulate what substances consenting adults put into their own bodies. You own your body, what you do to it is your business. I own my body, what I do to it is my business. In neither case do the State have any authority to interfere.

There is NOTHING, good about that stuff. The day our government legalizes this we will be taking a major step down the path of tremendous weakness.

Pot smokers are weak, lazy, dreamers. That's coming from someone who has had a LOT of experience with said substance.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em ... I wonder how much will be left in the evidence room by the time the trial begins???

Wouldn't it be great if NC finally shed it's tobacco growing reputation for pot / hemp growing ---which would provide a boon to the medical / recreational use communities---not to mention the nearly forgotten textile industry. Hope all you other posters here made sure to petition the state legislature on thier recent considerations regarding medical use.

Saying that pot is illegal is like saying God made a mistake.

The State has no authority to regulate how consenting adults medicate themselves, or to regulate what plants your grow, or what herbs you consume, as long as you're not violating anyone else's rights in the process.

Every NC law which purports to tell consenting adults what substances they can manufacture, grow, buy, sell or consume, should be repealed immediately. Additionally, anyone in jail for any non-violent "drug crime" should be released.

Drugs are bad OK They call me CATMAN

You mean like Prozac? Paxil? Celebrex? Mercury-tainted children's vaccines? How about a load of other stuff dumped on the public via TV commercials that 'might' work yet is known to have serious side effects?

    I agree in that case.
