Illegal guns can not be stopped. That is a fact. Of course legal guns can be regulated or if you want to strip these owners, then they would not be able to defend themselves from those with illegal weapons. And of course you are also stepping on the right to bear arms

It will stop when entitlements stop and people have to support themselves. It will stop when people take responsibility and actually do something rather than sitting behind a computer day in and day out and call for others to do something.

I do hope and pray they find the shooter and get him off the streets and behinds bars for a long while.

Thankful that she will be Ok in time. But I still maintain we need more gun control. Its really getting out of hand. Every day you see stories like this. When will it stop? Too many innocent people even children and the elderly are being shot for no reason. Something needs to be done.

This goes against the liberal agenda. They can't bring themselves to blame people, has to be some inanimate object or the NRA as the bogeyman.

Problem is that the liberals and their entitlement programs are at the root of most of the problems they blame on guns. The vast majority of the rest of the "gun" problem is mental health, and again the liberals are resposible for this as they dismantled the mental health system and put the mentally ill in the "community."

Guns are in almost every household in Switzerland yet they don't have anywhere near the same firearms crime rate we do.

The problem isn't guns. The problem is our society and certain elements in it.

You REALLY have no idea how a "black market" works. Anything anyone wants will be available, and the price will be affordable to those willing to steal for it. Please educate yourself on these matters before posting more ...

It's hilariously far-fetched logic, really. It will never happen. In no foreseeable future would it ever happen. If you honestly think there'll ever come a day when they say "guns are illegal, turn em in or we're coming to get them", then I feel for you. Followers of the law have spent zillions of dollars on guns and wouldn't give them back if you paid them. How about that? How about we buy them back....with money printed after we raise the debt ceiling again? I MAY sell you mine if you use someone undeserving's "SSI" or "disability" money to buy it with

It's a little harder to mass produce modern firearms illegally than it is alcohol, drugs, prostitution and the like, so the comparison doesn't wash. You think? Case in point is the AK-47.....and its myriad of knock offs around the world. The U.S. is by far not the only country that manufactures firearms. Smuggling guns into this country is easy. Black market gun shops would spring up everywhere if guns were banned. History has repeatedly shown that government cannot eradicate something if the populace wants it bad enough.
