Are you wanting to do something special for the man in your life this Valentine's Day? Sometimes you just need a little inspiration, so let this list be just that!

1. Go to an amusement park

It'll be fun to bring out the inner child in both of you for the day.

2. Cook something together

(Food fight included. Obviously.)

3. Cook his favorite ...

Can't meet up in time to cook together? Find out his favorite meal or treat and make it for him as a surprise.

4. Have a video game date

Yummy food and Mario? You'll be his fave.

5. Take him to the arcade

Men of all ages can't turn this one down.

6. Attend a sporting event

Whether that means tickets to watch his favorite team, or sitting on the bleachers cheering on his little bro, it's bound to be a good time.

7. Get competitive

Play mini golf, go bowling, play ping-pong, shoot some pool, ride go-karts, play laser tag — so many options.

8. Let him show you his hometown (or something else important to him)

You'll get to know him better, and he'll love that you are interested in who he is and where he came from. Plus, you can enjoy the cuteness of watching him play tour guide.

9. Go swimming at some hot springs

Fun and relaxing = win-win.

10. Attend a car show

Is he into cars? Even if you're not, he'll think it's sweet that you took the time to genuinely show a little interest in one of his hobbies.

11. Walk or run for a good cause

There are all sorts of walk/bike/run events that help support good causes. Even better: Find a cause that's important to him — he'll appreciate the thoughtfulness even more. Give a mud run a try if you're feeling adventurous. The Tough Mudder, for example, even gives you the option of participating for a charity of your choice.

12. Take him to that movie he wants to see

It's simple, but he'll enjoy it; can't beat that.

13. Let him choose

Last but certainly not least, genuinely ask him what he thinks would make a fun night out. His ideas may be surprisingly cute or even the tiniest bit romantic.

Whatever type of guy he is, let him know you're thinking of him this Valentine's Day by giving one of these ideas a try.
