— A 12-year-old boy was charged with shooting a BB gun at an occupied vehicle Monday afternoon at the 2,000 block of Fordham Lane.

Authorities said they received a call around 5:45 p.m. from a Child Protective Services representative.

Police arrived at the scene and took the boy into custody for questioning.

The story didn't say it but I did hear last night on the 11:00 news that he fired at the car that the CPS person was in.

Ms . Hauser: Where in the story does it say that the BB Gun was fired *at* the CPS agent? It says that a BB Gun was fired at a car and that a CPS agent called the police. Was there extra information provided that only you were privy to?

it might just not be a coincidence that a child fired into a car with a CPS worker in it, just a thought here......

I was a baaaad youngin. Mischievous as I could be. And if that would have been me at that age.. I would have SO been thankful that the "Child Protective Services" had hold of me before my mommy & daddy (then grandparents & aunts & uncles) could get their hands (and belts & switches) on me!

Not all BB guns are like the one in A Christmas Story, folks. I've seen a particularly high-powered one go through heavy blue jeans and lodge in a a kid's leg. It caused a fair amount of bleeding, followed by a trip to the ER and surgery to remove damaged tissue. The police said it was strong enough to require a gun lock. A neighborhood kid had this gun, and during usual horseplay he got shot. Pure dumb luck it didn't end up a heck of a lot worse.

We just gave Iran a clear path to a nuclear bomb? By restricting their nuclear capability we gave them a clear path to a nuclear bomb? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
