1 shot during robbery at Fayetteville garage

Police said that officers responded to Brown's Garage at 433 Hillsboro Street at 8:13 p.m. in reference to a reported shooting.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were investigating Sunday night after a man was shot during a robbery at a Fayetteville garage.

Police said that officers responded to Brown’s Garage at 433 Hillsboro Street at 8:13 p.m. in reference to a reported shooting.

Authorities said that eight people were inside the garage working on vehicles when two armed men entered the business. The men pointed the firearms at the employees and robbed all eight workers of their valuables, police said.

One employee was shot in the leg and taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the armed men fled the scene on foot.
