1 killed, 3 hospitalized in Raleigh crash

Authorities said that officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Creedmoor Road and Brennan Drive just after 6:20 p.m.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person was killed Tuesday after a two car collision in Raleigh.

Authorities said that officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Creedmoor Road and Brennan Drive just after 6:20 p.m.

Police said a car driven by Donald Grant Buce Jr. was traveling southbound on Creedmoor Road when a car driven by Kwanda Patrice Powell made a left turn from Creedmoor Road onto westbound Brennan Drive. Powell's vehicle turned into the path of Buce's car when making the turn, causing Buce's car to strike Powell's.

One adult, identified as Patricia Powell, was killed in the crash and another adult and two children were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Kwanda Patrice Powell was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and a safe movement violation.
