Four charged in weekend slaying near NCSU

Four men were charged Wednesday with murder in a weekend shooting near North Carolina State University.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Four men were charged Wednesday with murder in a weekend shooting near North Carolina State University.

Enrique Samuel Valenzuela, 22, and Louis Enrique Mondragon, 19, are both charged with murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, according to Raleigh police.

Leonardo Steven Calvillo, 20, and Maria Guadalupe Nambo, 20, are both charged with one count of accessory after the fact to murder and two drug related violations.

The shooting happened at College View Apartments, 1423 Collegeview Avenue, at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Irvin Adan Gonzalez-Martinez, 18, died, and Daniel Deleon Pittman, 23, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the suspects also fired shots at a 16-year-old, but he was not struck.

All four supsects were being held at the Wake County Detention Center on Wednesday. Bond information was not immediately available.
