RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was killed Wednesday morning when he was hit by two SUVs while trying to cross Louisburg Road, police said.

The incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. between Spring Forest Road and Interstate 540, police said.

Ryan William Cepeda was walking across Louisburg Road when he was hit by a northbound 2015 Ford SUV driven by Stella Louise Green, according to a police report. Cepeda was still down in the roadway when he was hit a second time by a 2016 Jeep driven by Amy Joann Sloan and dragged more than 50 feet, a police report states.

All lanes of Louisburg Road reopened by 7:45 a.m.

Cepeda wasn't crossing in a marked crosswalk, according to the reports. No charges have been filed against either driver.
