1 dead, 2 hurt in Fayetteville shooting

One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting that happened during a party in Fayetteville early Sunday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting that happened during a party in Fayetteville early Sunday.

Fayetteville police said officers were called about 1:20 a.m. to a residence in the 6000 block of Wagon Wheel Court, where gunfire erupted in front of the home during a party. Leandre Jamarcus Laguerre, 25, of the 5700 block of Homestead Court, suffered fatal injuries.

Clevaun Breece, 21, and Kenneth Burch, 24, were taken by private vehicle to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Breece was treated and released, and Burch was in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
