1 dead, 2 hurt in Fayetteville shooting

— One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting that happened during a party in Fayetteville early Sunday.

Fayetteville police said officers were called about 1:20 a.m. to a residence in the 6000 block of Wagon Wheel Court, where gunfire erupted in front of the home during a party. Leandre Jamarcus Laguerre, 25, of the 5700 block of Homestead Court, suffered fatal injuries.

Clevaun Breece, 21, and Kenneth Burch, 24, were taken by private vehicle to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Breece was treated and released, and Burch was in critical condition Sunday afternoon.

    Tune in next week for the retaliatory shooting. There is a possibility the people shot may have had nothing to do with the incident precipitating the attack. In gang culture, "harm one, harm all" prevails in many areas. When the gang banger are caught, and they will be, probably due to bragging about it, and they are sent to prison, their "gang" will do nothing for them or their families.

    Another example of how people cannot do anything without violence! Why the heck can't you leave those guns at home? Oh I know, You have to be just like everybody else and carry a gun. That's just pathetic! What else is pathetic, is that people have to be part of the in group and carry a weapon. A gun should be used to hunt food not shoot a humans! But sadly that is where real parents have to worry about a kid that has not been taught gun safety pulling a gun because they think it's cool!
