1 dead, 1 injured in Fayetteville shooting

Detectives are investigating a shooting that injured two people Sunday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Detectives are investigating a shooting that injured one person and killed another Sunday morning.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a shooting at a home on the 1600 block of Rim Road around 5:30 a.m.

According to officials, two victims were shot in the incident. One victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The second victim was fatally wounded during the shooting.

The names of the victims have not yet been released.
