RALEIGH, N.C. — After a drizzly and cold day in the Triangle, Sunday's temperatures will be much warmer with highs in the 60s.

WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said it will be a sunny day once the morning's clouds pass.

7-Day Forecast

"The rain chances look slim tomorrow," she said. "But our chances bump up to around 30 percent on Monday and a slight chance on Tuesday.”

While temperatures overnight Saturday will plummet into the 30s and 40s, Sunday will be much warmer.

"Big improvements Sunday with the weather," Wilmoth said. ‘It’s going to be nice for being outside.”

The rest of the week will continue to be warm and sunny with bright skies.

Tuesday and Wednesday's temperatures could reach 78 degrees, and Wilmoth said we'll be looking forward to a warm, sunny weekend.

“I know it was dreary today, but it’s going to be much better this week going forward,” she said.
