Special students are stars in Cumberland festival
About 1,500 students took part in the 33rd annual Cumberland County Very Special Arts Festival. WRAL reporter Gilbert Baez and Jae McKrae from Old School 107.8 Jamz have emceed the event for all those years.

The event is a chance for students with special needs to strut their stuff on stage in front of a cheering crowd and experience the performing arts.
"For students with more significant disabilities, this is one of the opportunities that they have to participate with non-disabled peers as well as to have the opportunity to express themselves through other means,” said Ruben Reyes, director of Exceptional? Children Services.
