'Octonauts' headed to Durham for family show

The Octonauts, from the popular Disney Jr. series, are headed to the Durham Performing Arts Center later this year.

Tickets for tne November show go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday.

"For the first time ever, The Octonauts are bringing their live stage show to the U.S.! The Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure features brand new and fan favorite songs from the entire crew of beloved underwater explorers, led by the intrepid Captain Barnacles, Lieutenant Kwazii and Medic Peso. Join them as they embark on an exciting new quest through an aquatic world full of adventure, interactive opportunity, and “must-sea” surprises from coast-to-coast! Octonauts Live promises to be the perfect theatre show for all fans of the Disney Jr. series!"

The show is scheduled for 6 p.m., Nov. 11, at DPAC. It will feature costume characters and animated projections on a large screen on stage. It runs about an hour - two 30 minute acts plus a short intermission. Tickets start at about $30 plus fees. All guests must have a ticket, regardless of age. More information is on DPAC's website.

DPAC also will host a Peppa Pig show in September. Tickets are on sale for that show now.
