Booth Amphitheatre's popular summer movie series will feature a couple of kid favorites in the next week or so.

"The Lego Batman Movie" is Friday, June 23. "The Jungle Book," the 2016 live action version, is scheduled for Thursday, June 29. Both are rated PG - as are most of the movies featured at the Cary venue this summer.

Gates open at 7 p.m. Movies start around dusk, usually around 8:30 p.m. You're welcome to bring picnics, blankets and chairs so you can set up on the amphitheatre's big lawn. Tickets are $5. Kids 12 and under are free.

The amphitheatre's website has more information.
