"Education Matters," the weekly look at the state of public education in North Carolina, moves to its regular time slot this weekend: Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. on WRAL-TV, immediately following "On The Record."

The show is produced by the Public School Forum of North Carolina to provide the public with real facts about and engage them in efforts to strengthen our state’s schools. Every week, host Keith Poston, president & executive director of the Public School Forum of North Carolina, and guests explore everything from the history of public education to the impact of legislation and policy decisions on our public schools.

“One of our primary goals with this new show is to help the public understand how education policy plays out in our schools and what kind of impact these policies are having on our students and teachers,” said Poston. “We think it’s important the public is engaged in efforts to strengthen our schools and we hope Education Matters will provide a window into the classroom that is often missing from the debate.”

Each week’s show will have a central theme or main topic and will cover key headlines in education and spotlight great leadership in our schools each week.
