Henry Winkler & Lin Oliver Co-authors of 'Fake Snakes and Weird Wizards' the fourth book in the "Here's Hank' series visited the Quail Ridge Bookstore Thursday evening February 12, 2015.

Quail Ridge Books & Music has lined up some more visits from children's authors. Here's what's on the schedule:

Maragaret Haddix and James Riley will visit 7 p.m., Friday, with their books best for ages 9 and up. Here's what Quail Ridge says about the two: "Margaret Haddix is well-known for her series, Shadow Children and The Missing. In fact, Found (first in The Missing series) is on the current Elementary School Battle of the Books list. Now she shares 'Under Their Skin.' In this start of a new series, 12-year-old twins Nick and Eryn investigate why their mother and new stepfather are keeping secrets, why they are forbidden to meet their step-siblings, and, most importantly, why their lives are in danger. James Riley, author of the Half Upon a Time trilogy, brings the second installment in The Story Thieves series, 'The Stolen Chapters.' Owen, Kiel, and Bethany confront secrets, stolen memories, and some very familiar faces."

And big news for Bad Kitty fans: Nick Bruel will visit at 7 p.m., Jan. 26, with his latest, a chapter book called "Bad Kitty Goes to the Vet." Best  for ages 7 and up. Says Quail Ridge's staff: “Bad Kitty's adventures are always a hoot. Along with a wild ride of a story that includes Puppy and Uncle Murray, Nick conveys some very accurate animal care tips that young pet owners should know." If you want Bruel to sign your book, you'll need to buy it from Quail Ridge to receive a signing line ticket. It's best to buy the book in advance so you get an earlier slot in the signing line. If you just want to hear him talk, it's free to attend.

Quail Ridge Books is on Wade Avenue in Raleigh.
