Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police say they are searching for an "armed and dangerous" woman who is accused of shooting a woman in the leg Sunday and fleeing the scene.
Loteria Shavon Marsh, 34, whose last known address was 4744 Denton Court, is facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Police responded to 531 Ira St. in the Massey Hill subdivision at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting. Witnesses told police that Marsh and several other women went to the address to confront a person over the possession of a video game console.
After the argument escalated, police said, Marsh fired a gun, shooting Shelby Love in the leg. Love, 46, was trying to intervene and stop the fight when the shooting happened, police said. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she was in stable condition.
Marsh fled the scene and was last seen driving a black older model Chevrolet Camaro with an N.C. registration of AKM-9739, police said.
Anyone with information about Marsh's whereabouts is asked to call Detective S. Larson at 910-916-7690 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS. Crime Stoppers information can also be submitted on an anonymous online tip sheet.
