$3K engagement ring stolen from jewelers

Police were searching for a man they believe stole a diamond engagement ring from a jewelers last Wednesday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching for a man they believe stole a diamond engagement ring from a jewelers last Wednesday.

The robbery occurred at Hinkamp Jewelers, 201 S. McPherson Church Road, Suite 104, on the afternoon of June 25.

Investigators said the stolen ring was valued at $3,450.

Police described the thief as a white man, standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He has fair skin and red or strawberry blond hair. A mole is on his right cheek.

Investigators said he drove away in a silver Honda.

Hinkamp Jewelers has offered a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
