A new breakfast restaurant is opening in Raleigh's Seaboard Station this month.

Biscuit Belly, a fast-casual breakfast concept revolving around large biscuit sandwiches, will open on Tuesday, April 30. A grand opening party is set for May 3.

This will be the Kentucky-based franchise's first North Carolina location. Another location is planned this summer in Charlotte.

Biscuit Belly was started by former pharmacists turned restaurateurs Chad and Lauren Coulter. The couple had already launched a wine and tapas concept when they decided to focus on breakfast and brunch restaurant ideas.

The restaurant now has eight locations in Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Virginia and Alabama. Locations are also opening this year in South Carolina.

Biscuit Belly's Raleigh location at 708 Seaboard Station Drive will join a growing list of new restaurants at Seaboard Station, including recently opened The Yard Milkshake Bar.
